 Shree GuruGauravGatha

  This is a Sanskrit poem consisting of over 250 stanzas in various metres depicting succently the miracles of Shree GuruNarasimha Saraswati, the famous Avatara of Shree Guru Dattatrya. It is in fact an abridgement of Shree Guru Charitra written by the famous devotee Saraswati Gangadhar in Marathi (or Prakrit as it is sometimes called) .Its composition was undertaken by the present author in Sanskrit according to a divine prompting in his dream.Then was written by him the Marathi long poem meant to be a Subodha Gurucharitra,by the name Amrita-Tarangini (the River of Ambrosia) also Marathimetrical abridgment of Shree Guru Charitra which is held in great reverence by Marathi devotees of Shri Guru Datta.
Shree Narsimha Saraswati is a second incarnation of Lord Dattatreya, the first being Shreepada Shrivallabha.Shri Guru
charitra contains one chapter on the birth of Lord Dattatreya himself and a few on the life ofShreepada Shreevallabha. But in the main, it is the life and teachings and works of Shree Guru Narsimha Saraswati who flourished about six centuries ago.
